AIexpress – On Saturday night in Watertown, a 17-year-old boy lost control of a pickup truck.
A press statement from the Watertown Police Department says that at just after 8 p.m. on January 4, they were called to the corner of 29th Street Northeast and Willow Creek Drive for a single-car accident.
Authorities say that a 2010 Silver Dodge Pickup was going very fast north on 29th Street and lost control as it tried to make its way around the westbound curve. The report said the pickup went off the road to the side, hit a tree, and then stopped in the field about 50 feet north of Willow Creek Drive.
The driver was named as a guy from Watertown who is 17 years old. The driver wasn’t hurt, but the report says the pickup was a total loss and had to be towed away.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol helped the police force in Watertown. The driver got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt and driving without a license.
