Devolver Digital and developer WolfEye Studios announced (thanks RPG Site) that motion RPG/immersive sim hybrid Bizarre West could be delayed to March 31 to make it extra immersive and bizarre, pushing the sport two months previous its unique launch date of January.
Made up of veterans of immersive sim exemplars like Dishonored and Prey, WolfEye Studios aimed to make a sport with a western setting combined with stranger, supernatural components within the mould of one thing like Diablo meets Fallout. Artistic director Raf Colantonio defined the reasoning behind the delay:
Bizarre West is an impressively deep mixture of motion RPG and immersive sim components constructed on the WolfEye workforce’s expertise with Dishonored and Prey. Early suggestions is implausible however, as is the case with any immersive sim, there are loads of variables that may result in unintended penalties. Extra time is required to ship an expertise that the neighborhood expects from WolfEye and Devolver. The workforce understands that this could be a disappointment to people, however wish to be certain that the sport they’ve labored on for years is launched in one of the best kind potential.
Introduced in 2020 throughout a Devolver Direct, Bizarre West touted its workforce made up of Arkane Studios devs. Then, again in October, the discharge date was set for January, although clearly WolfEye now feels prefer it wants extra time to ship one of the best sport it could actually. Hopefully will probably be definitely worth the wait when it does hit.
Bizarre West might be out there March 31, 2022 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
