Every month, the Social Security Administration delivers millions of benefits to Americans who have previously met all requirements of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. Based on the annual payment schedule, this coming year will bring three months with double SSI payments in May, August, and November. Usually, these payments come on some dates that fall on weekends or holidays; for instance, every time the first day of the month falls on those dates, the SSA reschedules that payment for the preceding business day.
Double SSI payments in May, August, and October will reach beneficiaries accounts next year
According to recent news, the Social Security Administration has confirmed the upcoming double SSI payments for this coming year. Since low-income Americans are one of the most vulnerable populations in the US, they need to know when they will receive their monthly benefits so they can plan their finances accordingly. Therefore, we would like to share the full payment schedule for beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program here.
SSI payments | SSI payments date | Advanced payment |

It is also important to highlight that Social Security payments are meant to reach beneficiaries’ accounts on these exact dates, but if there is a delay with any of your payments, it is recommended to wait at least three mailing days before contacting customer service. Remember that you can always visit My Social Security Account for more information about your account and general social security information.
How much money will the SSI payments deliver during 2025?
Considering that the SSI payments for 2025 will already include the 2.5% cost of living adjustment (COLA), beneficiaries will receive, on average, $715, while those who applied for benefits as individuals or couples will get up to $967 and $1,450, respectively, once they meet all income and resource conditions. Besides these monthly payments, there is also another category available for those recipients who meet the essential person (EP) conditions. If SSI recipients qualify for the EP category, they will receive an extra $484 in their monthly benefits.
Even though the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program is one of the most important programs of Social Security, there is another program known as the Retirement, Survivor, and Disability Insurance (RSDI) program that provides millions of payments. Considering current Social Security guidelines, these beneficiaries will receive the following payment amounts in 2025:

Another option is to go to a Social Security office in your area. Be ready to present supporting evidence, including verification of assets, income, any medical conditions, and identification. After reviewing your application, the SSA will get in touch with you by mail. You can call the SSA directly at the number above or check for updates online at My Social Security.
