Mississippi Man Nabbed With Over Two Pounds of Meth, the Sheriff's Office Claims

PANOLA COUNTY, Mississippi (Aiexpress) – Deputies arrested a Mississippi man on New Year’s Eve after discovering two pounds of meth at his residence, according to the Panola County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).

According to PCSO, deputies had been investigating James Daugherty, 57, for months before pulling him over for a traffic violation on December 31. The PCSO reported that drugs and a weapons were discovered in Daugherty’s vehicle during the traffic check.

Deputies then executed a search warrant on his home and discovered 888 grams of meth, 544 grams of marijuana, eight guns, one of which had been stolen, and a considerable quantity of cash, according to the PCSO.

According to the PCSO, Daugherty may face further charges in addition to those for drugs and a stolen pistol.
