Aiexpress – On June 1, 2021, Alabama police were called to an apartment complex in Russell County because someone had heard of a possible shooting. When police arrived, they found Sharmeethia L. Mason, 36, lying on her front porch with a gunshot wound. Mason sadly died from her wound.
Crime Stoppers has provided further details regarding the case and has stated:
Investigators say witnesses observed an unidentified subject walking around the corner of the victim’s apartment and shooting the victim while she was sitting on her front porch. Witnesses say the subject was seen fleeing the scene on foot. Investigators say multiple shell casings were recovered from the crime scene.
At this point in time (2024), no one has been charged with Mason’s murder. There is a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the discovery of a suspect.
