This marks the second late-night attack on a lady in Alexandria this month. The other incident occurred on Main Line Blvd. and also resulted in police searching for the perpetrator. Several days later, authorities stated they had identified a suspect who was in detention in another jurisdiction, but the investigation was still ongoing.

According to APD, the current investigation shows that the two instances are unrelated.
