Woman Charged With Further Offenses After Methamphetamine Discovered Hidden Inside Her Body

Aiexpress –  According to the Coffee County Drug Unit, a 32-year-old woman detained for drug possession and a probation warrant was charged with additional offenses after a jailer uncovered roughly 2 grams of probable methamphetamine during a strip search. According to the story, this was not the woman’s first episode with medications stashed inside her body.

According to a copy of the preliminary report, on February 14, officers from the unit conducted surveillance on suspected drug distribution locations. During the operation, a detective noticed a Chevrolet Tahoe belonging to Matthew Corey Zanders driving south on Highway 221.

The detective stated that he had recently received accusations regarding Zanders’ involvement in the narcotics trade. Zanders was seen meeting a group behind the “old bait shop,” where a Nissan pickup truck arrived and picked up a female described as Carlia Mullinix.

According to the report, two detectives followed the car as it drove north toward Jet Foods.

The detective added that Mullinix had an active arrest warrant for probation violation, which prompted them to confront her in the store and arrest her.

According to the report, one investigator spoke with the driver of the vehicle, explaining the cause of the contact and expressing concern that the location they had left was involved in the drug trade.

Detectives recovered a small amount of suspected methamphetamine in Mullinax’s seat after the driver verbally consented to a car search. The substance field-tested positive for the narcotic, according to the detective.

Mullinax’s history of concealing narcotics and the discovery in the vehicle led officers to question her about any hidden things. According to the investigation, Mullinax constantly denied having anything hidden during transportation and before entering the jail.

According to the report, when Mullinax entered the jail, a female officer performed a strip search and discovered a plastic bag containing probable methamphetamine in her vagina. The deputy collected the evidence and handed it over to the narcotics detective. The detective observed that the bag was weighed on a non-certified scale, resulting in a weight of two grams, including packaging material.

According to the jail roster, Mullinax faces accusations of probation violation, two counts of methamphetamine possession, tampering with evidence, and crossing state or county guard lines with drugs. The roster also shows that she is now in custody and has been denied bond.
