Fewer Migrant Crossings Into Texas But More Into California

Aiexpress – Governor Greg Abbott successfully secured the Texas border, compelling migrants from Arizona and California to redirect their entry towards the western region of the United States.

“One of the most crucial rights granted in the U.S. Constitutional is a state’s ability to secure its border. Texas is leading the fight, with the help of Governors from across the country, to do the job that President Joe Biden failed. We will continue to build barriers that deny illegal entry into our state, arrest immigrants who cross illegally, and fulfill our duty to secure the border. Governor Abbott.

Thanks to Governor Abbott’s efforts, the United States has seen a remarkable 50% decrease in illegal border crossings since the end of December. This decline is particularly significant considering the surge in migrant numbers that had a negative impact on President Biden’s immigration ratings.

Recent trends in border crossings show a change in the pattern, with a noticeable decrease in entries, particularly in Texas during January and the current month. Migrants are now opting to travel further west towards Arizona or California. While the most recent data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) emphasizes that southern Arizona is the main location for illegal entries, the San Diego area has now surpassed Del Rio, Texas, to secure the second position.
