A shooting outside a bar in Indianapolis left one person dead and five others injured, including an off-duty police officer, according to law enforcement officials on Sunday.
At about 1:30 a.m., two officers in uniform but not on duty were at a pub when there was a disturbance in the parking lot, according to Indianapolis Metro Police.
Authorities exchanged gunfire with a suspect, and one officer was shot, according to authorities. Authorities took the cop to a local hospital and believe he is fine. The police said he should be released sometime Sunday.
Authorities claim they seized a handgun in the parking lot.
The gunshot also injured four other people, according to authorities. Everyone was expected to recover.
Shortly after the shooting, an adult man came to a local hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead, according to police, who suspect he is connected to the incident.
