New Poll Shows Biden Closing The Gap On Trump In 6 Key Swing States

President Biden has made significant progress in narrowing the gap against former President Trump in six out of the seven crucial battleground states over the past month. This encouraging poll suggests that the general election race between the two men in November is likely to be a closely contested one.

According to a recent poll by Bloomberg News/Morning Consult, Joe Biden is still behind Donald Trump among all voters in the crucial seven battleground states that will ultimately decide the outcome of the election. However, there is some positive news for Biden as he has made significant progress in narrowing Trump’s lead in almost all states and even surpassed the former president in one state.

According to the survey, Biden is performing exceptionally well in the key battleground states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

In the Badger State, Biden has taken the lead over Trump by 1 point, despite trailing him by 4 points in a February survey.

In Michigan and Pennsylvania, both candidates are evenly matched, garnering the support of 45 percent of voters each. A poll from February indicated that Trump was leading by 2 points in Michigan and by 6 points in Pennsylvania.

In Nevada, Biden managed to reduce Trump’s lead from 6 points in February to just 2 points in the latest poll.

In Arizona, the current president has narrowed the gap with Trump, but he still trails by 5 points. Similarly, in North Carolina, the former president maintains a lead of 6 points.

The study found that Trump’s lead in Georgia grew from 6 points to 7 points.

The poll found that among voters in swing states, the potential GOP nominee still has a 47 percent to 43 percent lead over Biden.

The Bloomberg/Morning Consult study asked 4,932 registered voters in the seven swing states to participate from March 8–15. In Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, it’s off by 3 points. In Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, it’s off by 4 points, and in Nevada, it’s off by 5 points.

In early March, Biden gave the State of the Union speech, where he strongly contrasted his plans with Trump’s words and actions during his first term in office. This helped him do better in the poll.

Since then, the president has been on a campaign tour, going to Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania in the past few weeks. On Tuesday, Vice President Harris and Vice President Biden will go to North Carolina to talk about their health care plans.

As for Trump, he has only held one event since he became the likely Republican nominee: a rally in Ohio for his choice of Senate candidate before that state’s vote.

He faced charges related to a hush money plan in court on Monday. His trial in New York will start in April.
