King Charles III set to make public appearance following cancer diagnosis

King Charles III is set to make his long-awaited return to the public eye this Sunday. Buckingham Palace officials have announced that the King, accompanied by Queen Camilla, will attend an Easter service at Windsor Castle. This will mark the monarch’s first public appearance in several months.

Charles received a cancer diagnosis in February and hasn’t made any significant public appearances while receiving treatment.

The Sunday gathering will be smaller than usual, with members of the royal family attending St. George’s Chapel, according to The Associated Press.

Just days ago, Kate, the Princess of Wales, disclosed that she received a cancer diagnosis earlier this year and is currently undergoing treatment. We don’t anticipate her and Prince William attending the celebration this Sunday.

Early last month, Buckingham Palace revealed Charles’ illness, stating that a separate prostate surgery detected the disease. Buckingham Palace said Charles’ physicians advised him to postpone public appearances while getting treatment.

“Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to conduct state business and official paperwork as usual,” the statement said at the time.

According to the Associated Press, Charles has continued to meet with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on a weekly basis and is still conducting state business.
