FBI offers $15,000 reward for man wanted in Mount Vernon shootout

The FBI is currently providing a reward of $15,000 in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred last week in Mount Vernon, New York.

The authorities are still on the lookout for an individual named Marco Tulio Fernandez-Rodriguez, who is wanted in connection with a failed robbery that resulted in the deaths of two individuals.

On Friday, investigators released new photos of Fernandez-Rodriguez, and over the weekend, they revealed his full name and announced the reward.

The shooting took place shortly after midnight last Tuesday at 137 South Fifth Avenue, an establishment that law enforcement sources have identified as an illegal smoke shop.

A group of suspects attempted to rob a warehouse that supplies products to smoke shops, according to the United States attorney’s office. During the robbery, a chaotic shootout erupted between the suspects and the warehouse employees, while the employees and customers were being held at gunpoint.

According to authorities, one of the victims was an employee at the warehouse, while the other had connections with the suspects.

Curtis Kiffin expressed his surprise and regret over the recent incidents of gunshots in the area. According to him, although he had heard shots before, he had never paid much attention to them. He apologized for the unfortunate events and acknowledged his surprise at the occurrences.

Five men were apprehended by federal authorities on charges of conspiracy to distribute narcotics, robbery, and murder.
