A violent altercation broke out at a Queens high school on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in injuries to five students and one security guard, according to police sources.
A fight broke out at The New Dawn Charter High School in Jamaica, around 12:45 p.m. The incident resulted in minor slash wounds for three 17-year-old boys and two other teen boys, aged 16 and 18. This information was provided by the police and other sources.
A teenager is currently in custody after four students were injured during a brawl inside a high school in New York City, according to the police.
Sources say that two of the teens were taken to the hospital. One was a 16-year-old who was cut on the face, and the other was a 17-year-old who was stabbed in the finger.
According to sources, a 59-year-old man who works as a school security guard suffered a slash on his right arm.
Later in the afternoon, all of the teenagers were apprehended and were yet to be charged.
