ISP workers in New Jersey rescue cat stuck on utility lines

When a cat became stranded on some utility lines in New Jersey, employees of an Internet service provider stepped in to help animal control officers.

According to Newton Animal Control, people in Hardwick reported a cat stranded high up on some utility lines and were anxious that it may rain soon.

A couple of cat-loving staff from Internet service provider Planet Network arrived on the site to ensure that it didn’t rain cats and water.

The personnel utilized a bucket truck to safely remove the cat from its perch.

“After safely grabbing a very scared cat, they brought him down to me, and he was contained,” an animal control officer wrote on Facebook.

The message thanked both neighborhood neighbors who reported the cat’s situation and a tree trimmer who donated his services for free.

“Thank you to the two brave guys, Wyatt Coombs and Rob Nye, from Planet Network, who helped this boy regardless of the risk to themselves,” the Facebook post read.
