Donald Trump Ahead Of Biden In 6 Key Swing States: Survey

According to a recent poll published by the Wall Street Journal, former President Trump is leading President Biden in six out of seven of the closest swing states.

In order for Biden to secure his reelection, he must maintain the states that he won in 2020, known as the “blue wall,” which includes Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Currently, Trump is leading by 2 points in Michigan and 3 points in Pennsylvania, although there is still a considerable number of undecided voters in both states.

In the last election, Biden also won in Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona, all of which had a stronger support base for Trump, as revealed by the poll. Trump is currently leading in Georgia by 3 points, in Nevada by 4 points, and in Arizona by a substantial 5-point margin.

Third party and independent candidates could potentially play a crucial role in this election, as they have garnered approximately 15 percent of the vote in the poll conducted across all states. Kennedy’s campaign has managed to secure support from both Biden and Trump, prompting Democrats to intensify their efforts in dissuading voters from backing him in the past few weeks.

The independent candidate’s popularity among anti-establishment voters in both parties stems from his outsider position, skepticism towards the government, and anti-vaccine stance, despite his brief run for the Democratic nomination.

According to the poll, Trump has an advantage on the economy, the border, and inflation, while Biden holds an edge on abortion. Democrats have highlighted reproductive rights as a crucial issue for the upcoming election, with a particular focus on in vitro fertilization (IVF) to rally supporters. They have also initiated a campaign in Florida following the state Supreme Court’s recent decision to allow a strict six-week abortion ban.

In Michigan, the economy is viewed positively by the majority of respondents. According to the survey, 51 percent of respondents believe that the national economy is doing well, while an even higher percentage, 67 percent, have a positive outlook on their state’s economy.
