Georgia woman holds solar eclipse and ‘God’ responsible for Florida interstate shooting

A woman from Georgia is attributing her alleged involvement in a highway shooting spree in Florida, which injured two people, to the solar eclipse that occurred on Monday. She claims that it was a result of “God’s” influence.

Taylor Nichelle Celestine, a 22-year-old individual, has been apprehended and is now facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and improper discharge of a firearm.

According to hotel staff, Celestine reportedly claimed that she was going to embark on a shooting spree as she believed she had been instructed to do so by God and the solar eclipse.

Celestine took her purple Dodge Challenger with Georgia plates onto Interstate 10 in Florida’s panhandle, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol. From there, she proceeded to fire several shots from a rifle, hitting another vehicle.

According to a statement from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the driver experienced injuries from glass fragments and a graze on the arm from a bullet. Thankfully, the driver skillfully managed to steer their vehicle onto the roadside, away from the suspect.
