According to the USGS, a minor earthquake occurred near Richmond, VA at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Monday, April 8th.

Residents in Glen Allen, Midlothian, Beaverdam, and Ashland felt a 2.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred 5 km north of Glen Allen.

Last week, the Northeast region felt the impact of a powerful earthquake measuring 4.8 magnitude, which originated in New Jersey.
