Two Arrested For Abducting Virginia Man In Dc During Meet-up To Sell Shoes

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the FBI’s Washington Field Office announced the arrest of two suspects involved in the armed kidnapping of a Virginia man.

On April 9, authorities arrested and charged Timothy Williams and Jaevonn Archer with armed kidnapping.

On February 25, about 12:30 a.m., the victim agreed to meet with one of the suspects near 25th and L streets in Northwest DC to sell shoes. They had coordinated the swap over social media.

When the victim arrived, the suspects stepped out of a car, pulled out pistols, and forced him into the vehicle. They then drove the victim to his home in McLean, Virginia, and stole his money and personal belongings.

According to MPD, the suspects fled the scene after driving the victim to District Heights, Maryland.
