Ron DeSantis Tells GOP Donors He Will Help Raise Fundraising for Trump

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reportedly assured GOP donors at a private retreat that he would assist in fundraising for former President Donald Trump. This comes despite the fact that during the GOP primary, Trump had used various nicknames to mock DeSantis, including Ron “DeSanctimonious.”

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino served as the venue for the retreat, where DeSantis engaged in discussions with prominent fundraisers and former finance committee members of his campaign. Notably, this retreat coincided with Trump’s campaign announcement of $50 million in donations at Mar-a-Lago.

According to Texas businessman Roy Bailey, a donor who attended the retreat, he expressed his commitment to supporting Trump in every possible way. Bailey mentioned that they are eager to follow Trump’s lead and are excited to contribute their efforts towards getting him elected.

Bailey emphasized the importance of unlocking and motivating donors to support Trump’s campaign. The goal is to provide the necessary fuel to ensure that Biden does not get reelected.

DeSantis threw his support behind Trump during the GOP primary shortly after dropping out of the presidential race, but he has not accompanied his former competitor to any campaign events.

The Trump campaign has yet to respond to DeSantis’ recent gesture, leaving it uncertain whether they seek assistance from the Florida governor.
