Authorities in Birmingham, Alabama, are looking for the gunman who shot and murdered a UPS employee in a targeted attack.
According to Birmingham police Sgt. Laquitta Wade, the shooting occurred around 6:05 p.m. Tuesday while UPS driver Anthony Lamar Love Jr. was walking to his car at a Birmingham UPS facility after his shift finished.
According to Wade, a gunman confronted Love and fired around ten times before fleeing the scene.
Wade said no one is in custody.
A UPS representative said in a statement, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our driver and express our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers. We are cooperating with the police as they investigate this unfortunate tragedy.
