Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated in February that these modifications enhance the state’s stability and strengthen the army’s ability to confront the enemy. The bill, which was initially proposed in December, has undergone several revisions and is anticipated to undergo further changes.
According to lawmaker Yaroslav Zhelezniak, additional changes are expected before the final reading in order to prevent corruption.
