Authorities said on Sunday that a woman suffered injuries after falling from a scooter in Queens following the driver’s shooting.
They were both hospitalized and in stable condition.
According to police, a 55-year-old man was riding a moped at Redfern Avenue and Hassock Street in Far Rockaway when he was shot in the torso around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to authorities, a woman traveling on the back of the scooter slid off and sustained scrapes when she hit the ground.
Investigators believe the shooter and driver know each other, but the motivation for the shooting is unknown.
