Abbott Pledges To Address Border Issues That Biden Ignores, Criticizes ‘ineffective’ Border Policy

Aiexpress – Texas Governor Greg Abbott has once again emphasized the state’s “right to defend from invasion” and strongly criticized the ineffective border policies implemented by the Biden administration.

In his latest update on Operation Lone Star, Governor, who initiated the program in 2021 to safeguard the Texas-Mexico border, revealed that Texan authorities have apprehended a staggering 501,300 illegal immigrants as part of the initiative. Additionally, they have successfully confiscated a total of 467 million “lethal doses” of fentanyl.

In a tweet on Friday, Abbott stated that according to the U.S. Constitution, states have the authority to protect themselves from invasion. He emphasized that the cartels, who are involved in smuggling people and deadly fentanyl, pose a significant threat to both Texas and the United States.

Texas is committed to fulfilling the responsibility that Biden has neglected: securing our southern border.

Abbott shared a link to a press release from his office, outlining the accomplishments of Operation Lone Star.

Abbott’s remarks come at a time when the Senate Bill 4, a highly debated law known as the “show me your papers” law, is currently undergoing legal proceedings. The American Civil Liberties Union, along with the Texas ACLU and the Department of Justice, have combined their individual cases to challenge the state and seek a permanent injunction against the law.
