According to WOIO-TV, Howard Vernon, the employee, mentioned that he was in the process of taking the customer’s order. The order consisted of two sausage, egg, and cheese croissants, a sausage biscuit, and hash browns. The total cost of the order was approximately $8.

According to Vernon, the customer expressed his dissatisfaction, saying, “My order can’t be right. It should be around $11.” In response, Vernon attempted to explain the ongoing promotion and the resulting lower price. However, the customer became increasingly agitated, using profanity and raising his voice. Vernon found herself at a loss, saying, “I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t understand why you want to pay more money.”

The customer quickly left the scene, but surveillance video from the business captured his return shortly afterwards. He pulled up next to another car parked outside the drive-thru window.

Images show him getting out of the car and pointing a rifle at the employee and the window.
