Christine Drazan announces re-election campaign for Oregon House seat

Christine Drazan wants her seat back.

In 2022, Canby resident Kim Drazan came close to becoming the first Republican governor of Oregon since Vic Atiyeh’s departure from office in 1987. Prior to her bid for governor, Drazan served as a state representative and minority leader in the Oregon House.

After more than two years of stepping away from the legislature, she has decided to run for her House seat once again.

“When I first ran for office, I made a promise to my community that I would fully dedicate myself to serving them. And when I ran for governor, I made the same commitment to my state,” Drazan expressed. “The desire to serve and be actively involved in the decision-making process has always been within me, and I am thrilled to have the chance to ensure that my community’s concerns are heard and addressed as we navigate the current challenges facing our state.”

Drazan emphasized the importance of addressing the concerns faced by Oregonians and her community. She stressed the need for effective implementation of new legislation, such as Measure 110 and HB4002, to ensure that they truly solve the problem at hand. She emphasized the need to avoid temporary solutions or superficial measures that fail to address the root causes of the issues.
