Cohen proposes Trump inciting his supporters by attacking judges

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” Michael Cohen expressed his belief that the goal of former President Donald Trump is to energize his supporters to act in a similar manner as they did on January 6th. Cohen stated, “His goal is to fuel up his supporters… for the sole purpose of getting them to act no differently and as stupidly as they did on Jan. 6.”

“He aims to provoke these individuals, these critics of his, into attacking them as frequently and vigorously as possible. Whether it’s through social media, phone calls, or in person, his goal is to intimidate and harass them,” he explained to host Joy Reid.

Just days after Trump launched attacks against Judge Juan Merchan and his daughter, who is overseeing his case regarding a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels in 2016, Cohen reflects on the former president’s actions. Trump has not only criticized Merchan, but also targeted Daniels and Cohen himself, who made the payment in question in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair.

The gag order, which was issued prior to the trial of former President Trump, is set to begin on April 15th. However, it does not apply to the judge and his family. Prosecutors involved in the case have argued that the gag order should also cover the judge’s daughter.

In a recent statement, Cohen suggested that Trump’s apprehension stems from his fear of losing the case, as well as other upcoming trials. Cohen also hinted at two recent cases that resulted in significant financial penalties for the former president.

According to Michael Cohen, Donald Trump is not just scared, but petrified of the upcoming Manhattan DA case involving Alvin Bragg. Cohen claims that Trump has faced numerous losses in recent years, including the E. Jean Carroll case and the New York Attorney General case.

According to Cohen, the only way they believe they can prevent him from being convicted in this case is by attempting to discredit, belittle, bother, and intimidate him, all in an effort to prevent him from testifying. Cohen emphasized that he did not volunteer to be a witness in this particular case.

“I’ve been subpoenaed,” he said, expressing his concern. “The situation is spiraling out of hand. Since he made that post, I’ve received an alarming number of death threats and the amount of hate I’m getting on social media from his followers has only intensified.”

“It is crucial that we take immediate action to safeguard all the witnesses involved in the case,” he emphasized.

According to Cohen, it is the responsibility of the Manhattan DA, as well as Judge Merchan, to ensure the safety and protection of not only the staff and his own child, but also all the witnesses who are being asked to testify.

Last year, Bragg accused Trump of falsifying business records in relation to reimbursements made to Cohen for the hush money payment.
