Colorado Man Killed In Dirt Bike Crash On Oklahoma City Streets Identified By Family

Aiexpress – A Colorado man involved in a dirt bike crash in Oklahoma City has been identified as Tyrese Moore. Sadly, Tyrese passed away shortly after the accident occurred at the intersection of Southwest 32nd and Western. His family has confirmed this tragic news.

According to News 4, the police revealed that officers were engaged in a pursuit of a sizeable group of dirt bike riders on city streets when they decided to discontinue the chase. Shortly after, Moore was struck by a vehicle. The specifics of the accident have not yet been disclosed.

Dawn Markel, Moore’s mother, shared with News 4 that her son traveled from Colorado to Oklahoma City to participate in an organized bike ride. According to her, this was not his first time attending such events, as he had previously joined two bike rides alongside his older brother. Typically, these rides are coordinated through online platforms.

According to Markel, the organizers of the event frequently choose different locations for their gatherings. In Kansas City, for example, the streets are closed off by the police to accommodate the riders. As a result, the participants were not expecting any deviation from this norm when they came to the current location, as there were widespread advertisements about the event on the Internet.

Markel received a phone call informing her that her son had been involved in an accident and was admitted to the hospital. Prior to receiving this call, her son had reached out to her, explaining that he had become separated from a group of riders and that the police were pursuing them.

She mentioned that she couldn’t make it to Oklahoma City from Colorado in time to visit him before he passed away at the hospital. Instead, she had to say her goodbyes to him through a video phone call.

According to Markel, the individual showed no signs of responsiveness and had no brain activity.

No one from the Oklahoma City Police has reached out to Markel since the accident, she said.

“No one will call me back from the police department, the medical examiner. I did finally go to the hospital and I made the chaplain talk to me. She gave me a few extra phone numbers but no one’s answering any of the phones,” said Markel, tearfully. “I need to know where he is because I need to do something with his body.”

According to Markel, her son was a single father and he left behind a five-year-old daughter. In light of this tragic incident, she is appealing to anyone who may have pictures or video footage of the incident to come forward. She is also urging anyone with information about what happened to her son to contact her attorney, Tom Porto, at 913-707-3443.
