Jimmy Kimmel came up with a new nickname for Donald Trump following the politician’s “venomous” social media post about him on Wednesday.
During the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the talk show host playfully referred to Trump as “Ranta Claus,” humorously pointing out that the former president from Kentucky is causing a stir once again.
The 56-year-old recalled waking up at 9 a.m. to find a whopping 100 text messages awaiting him. According to reports, Trump was said to still be “smarting” from Kimmel’s Oscars joke.
During the Academy Awards ceremony in March, Trump took a jab at Kimmel’s hosting skills on Truth Social. The comedian amused the audience by reading out Trump’s mocking post.
“Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars has been the worst host, ever,” Trump criticized.
“He began with an opening that reflected the efforts of someone who is below average, desperately trying to portray themselves as something they are not and can never be.”
“Remove Kimmel from the equation and consider replacing him with another ABC talent, George Slopanopoulos, who may be seen as past his prime but is a cost-effective option. Slopanopoulos has the ability to enhance the presence of all participants on stage, making them appear more prominent, powerful, and captivating.”
The 77-year-old expressed his dissatisfaction, stating, “Tonight’s show was really bad in terms of being politically correct. It has been like this for years – disjointed, boring, and incredibly unfair.”
“President Trump, I appreciate your attention,” he added. “I’m surprised you’re still here. Isn’t it past your jail time?”
The crowd erupted in laughter and applause, yet Trump remained silent in response to the joke.

According to Trump, Jimmy Kimmel’s performance as the host of The Academy Awards was horrendous, resulting in a significant drop in ratings. Trump also claimed that Kimmel displayed symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) when he read out Trump’s criticisms of his hosting abilities on live television. Trump specifically mentioned that Kimmel stumbled through announcing the “Picture of the Year” award.

Please don’t do this.” As a result, he ended up being portrayed as a fool, which, some may argue, he is. Kimmel dismisses Trump’s assertion that Oscars hosts are required to say “and the winner is” when presenting awards.
Jimmy Kimmel clarified that the statement was incorrect and emphasized that it was not the required line. He also made it clear that he did not present the award for best picture.
“Perhaps you imagined this scenario while dozing off in the courtroom,” he quipped, alluding to the rumors suggesting that Trump had fallen asleep during Monday’s court proceedings.
Kimmel refuted Trump’s allegations that his wife and team had pleaded with him to refrain from announcing Trump’s message during the event.
“In his stories, everyone is always begging, which is not at all what occurred,” he continued. “What happened is that they showed me what he posted, and I took a look at it and thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to read this.'”
“My wife expressed her disappointment with an ‘oh no,’ but I confidently responded with an ‘oh yes.'”
Kimmel has consistently voiced his criticism of Trump over the years. The comedian has openly ridiculed the Republican’s court appearances and has not shied away from mocking his “very dumb crime family.” In one instance, Kimmel even drew a comparison between Trump and Hitler.
