Donald Trump wins New York GOP primary

Decision Desk HQ predicted that former President Trump would win New York’s Republican primary.

According to a tracker from Decision Desk HQ/The Hill, the GOP table in the Empire State has 91 delegates, despite the fact that the fact that the former president has already reached the number required for candidacy.

Trump was on the ballot Tuesday with numerous past adversaries, including former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. On the Democratic side, President Biden faced minor opposition from longshot rivals Marianne Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips (Minn.).

New York has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate since the late 1980s, and Biden easily defeated former President Trump in the state in 2020. The two will face off again in November.
