Ex-House GOP Representative Criticizes Marjorie Taylor Greene for Excessive Focus on Social Media

Former Republican Representative Ken Buck of Colorado disagrees with former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s characterization of Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia as a “serious legislator.”

During an interview with Fox News, McCarthy praised Marjorie as a dedicated legislator who focuses on policy matters. He emphasized the importance of engaging in constructive conversations with individuals like her.

Former Congressman Buck, who stepped down from Congress in March, appeared on Monday’s episode of CNN’s OutFront to discuss the topic at hand.

Host Erin Burnett asked Buck about his recent work with McCarthy and whether McCarthy’s statements made sense to him.

Buck recognized that McCarthy may have engaged in more policy discussions with Greene, but he pointed out her track record of using inflammatory tactics in the House. This includes filing articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden. Buck also highlighted Greene’s strong opposition to providing aid to Ukraine, despite the country’s ongoing war with Russia, which began in February 2022.

According to the speaker, Marjorie has consistently shown a lack of concern for the opinions of others regarding the filing of articles of impeachment against President Biden and other members of the Biden administration. Instead, she has remained focused on maintaining a strong presence on social media. The speaker accuses Marjorie of now turning her attention to the Ukraine issue and relying on talking points from the Kremlin in order to gain popularity and media attention.
