Four Killed In Wrong-way Crash On I-95 Stretch In West Haven

Aiexpress – It happened around 1:25 a.m. on the southbound side of New Haven County on Sunday, February 25, when a Chevrolet Silverado was heading northbound in the southbound lanes of West Haven, Connecticut State Police said.

The pickup truck then smashed into a Nissan Altima in the left lane.

Following the incident, the Silverado entered the center lane and crashed into a southbound Nissan Sentra.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado and three passengers in the Nissan Altima were killed, according to state police.

The two passengers in the Nissan Sentra suffered life-threatening injuries and were evacuated to a local hospital by ambulance.

The identities of those killed have yet to be revealed because next-of-kin notifications are waiting for some people involved.

Following the crash, all I-95 lanes were shut down for many hours.

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad arrived on the scene to assist with the collision reconstruction.
