Gwen Stefani denies divorce rumors with Blake Shelton, calling them false statements

Gwen Stefani dismisses divorce rumors.

In the spring-summer issue of Nylon magazine, the 54-year-old singer-songwriter candidly addressed the persistent rumors surrounding her marriage to country music star Blake Shelton.

Stefani and Shelton crossed paths for the first time in 2014 when they both served as coaches on the popular reality show, “The Voice.” Their bond grew stronger over the years, and they recently tied the knot in July 2021. Prior to her relationship with Shelton, Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale and is a proud mother of three sons from her previous marriage. Similarly, Shelton had previously been married to Miranda Lambert.

In a recent cover story for Nylon, Stefani opened up about her latest single “Purple Irises,” which she collaborated on with Shelton. During the interview, she shared the vulnerabilities she experienced while writing the song.

“I found myself in a phase where I was constantly questioning: ‘Am I just getting older? Do I still have that cute factor?'” she shared.

Even though I am aware of the reality of our situation, I still find myself creating unnecessary drama in my mind due to my insecurities and fears about what may occur. During my time with Blake, I found myself in that phase of the relationship where I became increasingly paranoid.

The sight of vibrant purple irises flourishing on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch served as a poignant reminder to Stefani of the resilience and endurance of their marriage.

“I have to admit, the truth is that I am head over heels in love with my best friend. All these thoughts swirling around in my mind, they’re nothing more than overthinking,” she confessed.

“It’s all falsehoods. The reality remains unchanged, and we are well aware of that. Therefore, no amount of negativity can seep through simply because I am willing to be open and share a song that was solely meant for me and Blake.”

Stefani and Shelton have teamed up in the past to create some amazing music together. They have collaborated on hit songs like “Nobody But You,” “Happy Anywhere,” and “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”

Stefani will be joining her band, No Doubt, this month for a highly anticipated reunion performance at the Coachella music festival.
