Joe Biden has a momentary lapse on stage after recalling a story about his uncle being consumed by cannibals

This video shows President Joe Biden looking ‘confused’ about how to leave the stage during a Pennsylvania event, shortly after making the bizarre claim that cannibals consumed his uncle.

The 81-year-old president made the stunning statement while reminiscing about his late Uncle Ambrose Finnegan’s service in the US Army Air Corps during WWII at the United Steelworkers headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Biden recalled: “My uncle joined the Army Air Corps and flew those single-engine planes as reconnaissance over war zones.” In New Guinea, they shot him down. Because there were so many cannibals in that section of New Guinea, they never located the body.

However, CNN says that Biden’s version of his uncle’s death and supposed cannibalistic end differs from official data kept by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. According to these documents, ‘Bosie’s’ aircraft had to make an emergency landing in the sea off New Guinea “for unknown reasons.”

Following the president’s cannibal remark, Biden made an awkward attempt to exit the platform, captured on film and causing quite a stir online. According to the Daily Star, Biden can be seen hesitating, turning one way and then the other, as if confused about which direction to take.

President Biden’s newest error sparked outrage on social media, with one user labeling him “confused, lost, and delusional.”.

Biden’s statement regarding his uncle’s unretrieval is accurate, despite the uncertainty. The Walls of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines undoubtedly honor Finnegan.

Biden had previously paid tribute at a memorial in Scranton, Pennsylvania, honoring his uncle’s service.

Biden has regularly drawn criticism for memory lapses and apparent bewilderment. In one recent error, he misidentified French President Emmanuel Macron as Francois Mitterrand, France’s former president who died in 1996.
