Joe Biden Hits Out At Donald Trump At A Rally In Georgia, Saying, “He’s Been Sucking Up To Dictators All Over The World.”

The question is not whether Georgia Democrats will vote for President Joe Biden on Tuesday or November. It’s how many.

Biden traveled to Georgia on Saturday to collect endorsements from political action committees representing Asian, black, and Latino voters, marking another stop on his path to becoming the Democratic nominee.

Biden began by taking a swipe at Donald Trump, using Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene as the bat, stating that he had launched his campaign in her company, as had despotic Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orbán.

“He termed him an excellent leader. Seriously,” Biden stated. “He’s been sucking up to dictators all over the world.”

Ennui and “no preference” are Biden’s only major opponents in Georgia for the nomination. However, Biden is more likely to win the nomination in states voting on March 19 than in Georgia, which has a primary on Tuesday. However, the transition to the general election has already begun.

“He’s building on the momentum from the Thursday speech, which was a grand slam home run,” said David Brand, a Democratic activist and Atlanta political player. “The Republicans are in complete panic. They can’t criticize him on certain topics. So they’re now making up stories about him being on Red Bull or whatever. That’s their finest attack line: ” He drinks Red Bull.” That aligns him with every law school student in the country.”

Biden, joined by his wife Jill and Georgia’s Democratic senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, spoke in front of a throng of roughly 500 people at the trendy Pullman Yards site on Atlanta’s east side. The assembly was made up largely of party insiders and Democratic elected officials. The rally’s site was heavily guarded before the event, ostensibly to avert interruptions by protesters. One man was led out of the room as he screamed pro-Palestinian slogans.

The president’s address expanded on topics addressed in the State of the Union address, asking for the reinstatement of Roe v. Wade as the rule of law on abortion, raising taxes on billionaires, and advocating for civic ideals.

“We see a future where we define democracy and defend it, not diminish it,” said Vice President Joe Biden. “We must remain the beacons of the world.”

Biden made no mention of the Gaza war or funding for Ukraine’s opposition to Russia.

His followers and endorsers frequently paralleled the ramifications of a Trump victory in 2024, attempting to revive the political fervor that resulted in unexpected victories in Georgia in 2020 and 2022.

Ossoff frequently mentioned DeKalb County, the site of Pullman Yards and the catalyst for the political shifts that propelled him, Warnock, and Biden to power. “The stakes could not be higher,” Ossoff stated. “The future of voting rights, civil rights, and women’s rights is on the line.”

On Saturday, three political action committees endorsed Biden: the Collective PAC, which supports black politicians; the Latino Victory Fund; and the AAPI Victory Fund, which empowers Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.

“They should be re-elected.” Failure is not an option,” stated Shekar Narasimhan, chairman and founder of the AAPI Victory Fund. “We will do everything in our power to make this happen.”
