In a recent interview, President Biden reaffirmed his dedication to supporting Black Americans. He highlighted his track record of backing Black-owned small businesses and emphasized the notable job creation figures.
“I’ve got your back, just like few presidents in American history have, including Lyndon Johnson,” Biden replied. “Black wealth has seen a remarkable 60 percent increase, across the board.”
During his recent meetings, Biden expressed his engagement with Black business owners who have received government loans and direct payments to support the establishment and growth of their businesses.
“There’s no limit to what they can achieve if given the opportunity. It’s not just the Black community, but also the Hispanic and Asian American communities. That’s why today, I received endorsements from three influential organizations representing these diverse groups,” stated Biden. Biden was referring to the endorsements he received from prominent political action committees that advocate for the rights and interests of Asian American, Black, and Latino voters.
The AAPI Victory Fund, the Collective PAC, and the Latino Victory Fund announced their endorsements on Saturday. They also pledged $30 million to mobilize communities of color in support of Biden’s reelection campaign.
According to Biden, small businesses have thrived under their administration, with an increase in the number of new establishments opening up. He emphasized the significant contribution of small businesses to the economy, stating that they make up half of it.
Biden also highlighted his commitment to manufacturing products in America and relying on American workers.
President Biden expressed his commitment to supporting minority and small businesses by allocating a significant portion of resources to them. He proudly shared that 21 percent of the funds have already been directed towards these businesses, exceeding the initial goal of 20 percent. According to Biden, this approach not only fosters economic growth but also promotes unity within the nation.
