In a recent episode of “The Daily Show,” Jordan Klepper couldn’t help but poke fun at Donald Trump’s latest attempt to raise funds for his growing legal expenses. The former president is now selling his own version of the Bible.
In a recent video, Trump proudly showcased the $60 “God Bless The USA Bible” as he expressed his deep affection for the holy book. According to him, the Bible holds a special place in his heart, and he even boasts having multiple copies in his personal collection.
Klepper couldn’t believe his ears. “Many? Many? Many?” he exclaimed, incredulous. “How on earth does that thing manage to not burst into flames right away?”
In Trump’s rendition of the book, he collaborated with country singer Lee Greenwood to include the lyrics of Greenwood’s popular song “God Bless The USA,” which is often played at Trump rallies. Additionally, the book features the texts of the Pledge of Allegiance, the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence.
Comedian Klepper jokingly commented on Trump’s tendency to combine the Bible and the Constitution, likening it to a fusion of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. He humorously added that Trump’s lack of familiarity with both texts makes this an amusing combination.
Klepper was also able to predict the potential outcome of this situation.
According to him, if Trump were to enter into a business partnership with God, it would undoubtedly result in God’s bankruptcy and a subsequent prison sentence of three months for perjury.
During his Tuesday night monologue on “The Daily Show,” he delves further into the topic.
