Kate Middleton’s Uncle Gary Goldsmith Praises Niece Is Handling Health Battle ‘incredibly Well’

Gary Goldsmith believes that Princess Kate Middleton handled the public scrutiny surrounding her health with remarkable poise and grace.

During a Friday, March 29 appearance on the Spanish television show ¡De Viernes!, Prince Harry mentioned that he has been in contact with his sister Carole Middleton to ensure the well-being of his niece. He expressed his concern for Kate, who has been facing a challenging and complicated situation.

Goldsmith expressed his unique experience of having to handle the challenges of raising his children while also providing explanations to the media on a global scale. He emphasized that he personally did not know anyone else who had to navigate such a public and demanding situation.

Kate bravely opened up about her battle with cancer, choosing to share her diagnosis amidst a flurry of unfounded conspiracy theories circulating on social media.

“In January, I had a significant abdominal surgery in London. Initially, it was believed that my condition was not cancerous,” she shared in a video filmed at Windsor Castle on March 22 and released globally. She continued, “Fortunately, the surgery went well. However, subsequent tests revealed the presence of cancer. Consequently, my medical team recommended that I undergo a series of preventive chemotherapy sessions, which I have started in the early stages.”

According to Kate, both she and Prince William made sure to take the necessary time to share the news with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“Having William by my side brings me immense comfort and reassurance, as does the overwhelming love, support, and kindness that many of you have shown. It means the world to both of us,” she expressed. “We kindly ask for your understanding as we, as a family, require some time, space, and privacy during my treatment. My work has always brought me immense joy, and I eagerly anticipate returning when I am able. However, at present, my main priority is to focus on making a complete recovery.”

Kate and William, aged 41, were noticeably missing from the Easter mass at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Sunday, March 31, following her diagnosis.

Goldsmith, who is 58 years old, has been openly expressing his concerns about Kate’s well-being ever since he participated in the 23rd season premiere of the U.K.’s “Celebrity Big Brother” last month. One of his fellow contestants, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, asked Goldsmith for more information about Kate during the show.

He said that he wouldn’t discuss it because she didn’t want to talk about it. He mentioned that there is a certain code or etiquette where he would only give his opinion if it was announced.

Goldsmith decided to withdraw from the live finale of “Celebrity Big Brother” on March 22, which coincidentally was the same day that Kate’s cancer diagnosis became public.

In a statement shared through X, he announced that he will not be attending the Celebrity Big Brother final tonight. Expressing his gratitude, he thanked his fellow Housemates and everyone involved in the production of the show. He wished them a wonderful and memorable evening.
