Marjorie Taylor Greene Seeks Recognition for ‘Startling’ Joe Biden during SOTU

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) excitedly recounted the expression of surprise on President Joe Biden’s face when she proudly donned a vibrant red MAGA hat during the State of the Union event earlier this week.

But she argued that her decision to wear pro-Trump attire was not a result of confusion but rather a sign of fear.

Addressing a crowd of Trump supporters at a rally in Rome, Georgia, she pointed out the video of Joe Biden’s reaction upon seeing her at the State of the Union this week. With a grin on her face, she proudly stated, “This is the hat I had on.” Amidst the enthusiastic applause from the audience, she confidently asserted, “A MAGA hat is their worst nightmare.”

As the cameras rolled, Biden found himself in an unexpected encounter with the Georgia Republican before his much-anticipated speech to the nation. Caught off guard, he momentarily appeared taken aback as she made her presence known.

During every one of Biden’s State of the Union addresses, Greene has a track record of causing a commotion. In this instance, she challenged Biden to acknowledge the murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student allegedly killed by an undocumented immigrant. Biden later mentioned Riley in his address, but faced criticism from conservatives and Riley’s mother for potentially mispronouncing her name.
