Megyn Kelly criticizes NBC for firing Ronna McDaniel: ‘The children at Dem-SNBC are mad’

Megyn Kelly criticized NBC’s decision to yield to pressure from network stars and terminate the contract of Ronna McDaniel, the former Republican National Committee chair, shortly after it was revealed that she had been hired as a paid contributor.

During Tuesday’s episode of her SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly expressed her thoughts on the controversy surrounding McDaniel’s hiring at Dem-SNBC. She acknowledged that the children at the network were upset, highlighting the fact that McDaniel had been a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump.

Kelly ridiculed the uproar caused by MSNBC stars Rachel Maddow, “Morning Joe” Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Jen Psaki, as well as network talent like Chuck Todd.

Kelly took a sarcastic jab at the Peacock Network on Tuesday, emphasizing the need to protect our sacred airwaves from liars.

“They are, indeed, in the business of honesty!”

Kelly criticized Psaki, the former White House press secretary under President Biden, for being hired as an MSNBC host despite her previous overtly political role.

Megyn Kelly criticizes Don Lemon for his behavior during the Elon Musk interview, describing it as him acting like an “a-hole.”

“Hey, you didn’t have any issues hiring Jen Psaki, who spent years as a spokesperson for Obama and Biden, where she was known for her deceptive tactics,” Kelly pointed out. She also couldn’t help but draw a comparison between Psaki and Dora the Explorer, the beloved character from the animated series on Nickelodeon.

In response to critics comparing her to McDaniel, Psaki expressed her disapproval. She highlighted that McDaniel, along with many others, was terminated from their positions at the RNC following a significant reorganization by the Trump campaign.

According to a former Biden aide, there are some individuals in the right-wing ecosystem who are trying to draw a comparison between Jen Psaki and Ronna McDaniel. However, the aide believes that this comparison is misplaced. They argue that Psaki’s political experience is marked by honesty and good faith, whereas McDaniel’s loyalty lies with one individual.

During the exchange, Kelly confronted Psaki about her claim that the majority of illegal immigrants do not have intentions of staying in the country.

In addition, she highlighted Psaki’s remarks as press secretary, where she acknowledged that the rapid takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban was unexpected. She also emphasized Psaki’s attempts to dismiss the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation.

Megyn Kelly criticizes Jimmy Kimmel, calling him a “sanctimonious leftist,” for his hypocrisy regarding Karl Malone’s blackface controversy.

Several NBC News personalities expressed their dissatisfaction with the choice to hire McDaniel, citing her close affiliation with Trump. The former president has repeatedly claimed that he won the 2020 election, which resulted in Biden assuming the presidency.

During an interview with “Meet the Press” on Sunday, McDaniel made it clear that she does not support the claims of election fraud. She stated that Biden won the election fairly and is the legitimate president.

Maddow, who is MSNBC’s most beloved host, likened the situation to having a mobster employed within a district attorney’s office.

During her weekly program on Monday night, she expressed her confusion and hope that the decision to include her on the payroll would be reconsidered.

MSNBC stars like Joy Reid, Nicolle Wallace, and Lawrence O’Donnell publicly criticized the decision.

Republicans argue that the protest at NBC News, especially MSNBC, reflects a refusal to accept dissenting opinions. The hiring and subsequent firing in this case have managed to bring together both the left and right, albeit in a shared sense of outrage.

Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), expressed his frustration on his platform, accusing NBC of giving in to the censors.

In a statement on his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed his frustration, calling the Radical Left Lunatics “CRAZY,” and criticizing the leadership at NBC as “WEAK.”

NBC Universal News Group chairman Cesar Conde issued an apology to staff members who were disappointed with the hiring of McDaniel, as he announced the decision to terminate her. Conde took responsibility for approving the hire and expressed remorse for any negative impact it may have had on the team.

In a memo on Tuesday, Conde emphasized the importance of cohesion and alignment within an organization, particularly a newsroom. He stated that the recent appointment has posed a threat to achieving this goal.

The network, however, maintains its commitment to giving a platform to voices that represent diverse political perspectives.

McDaniel, who resigned as RNC leader a little over two weeks ago, has not yet provided any immediate comment.

According to a close source who wishes to remain anonymous, she discovered that she had been let go from her job through media reports rather than directly from NBC.
