Natalee Holloway Killer Joran Van Der Sloot Injured In Prison Fight In Peru

Joran van der Sloot, the infamous Dutch citizen who confessed to the unsolved murder of American teenager Natalee Holloway in 2005, reportedly got injured in a fight inside a Peruvian prison last week, according to a report by The New York Post.

Two convicts attacked Van der Sloot, who is serving a 28-year murder sentence in the Netherlands for killing his ex-girlfriend Stefany Flores Ramirez in 2010.

Officials from Peru’s National Penitentiary Institute said van der Sloot will not face sanctions because he did not start the brawl.

“A lot of people want him dead,” an NPI official told the newspaper.

He reportedly sustained bruises and lacerations during the altercation and was eventually released to the general population of Challapalca Prison.

An attorney for van der Sloot had previously complained about circumstances within the facility in the Andes mountains, calling it “the worst prison in the world.”

Van der Sloot acknowledged killing Holloway last year, nearly two decades after the youngster went missing while on a class trip to Aruba.

The disclosure came while pleading guilty in the United States to attempting to extort Holloway’s mother for money in exchange for information on where the Alabama teen’s remains could be located.

Concurrent with his charges in Peru, Van der Sloot received a 20-year jail sentence in the United States for extortion and wire fraud.

Van der Sloot, a student at Aruba’s international school, last saw Holloway leaving a bar in 2005.

According to Holloway’s mother, he admitted to killing the youngster with a cinderblock after she rebuffed his sexual advances. He is set to be released from prison in 2045.
