National Weather Service: Thunderstorms, Hail, And Snow Ahead

Aiexpress – Showers and thunderstorms are currently forming across the Indianapolis area and are expected to move in an east and southeast direction throughout the afternoon. While there is no severe weather predicted, residents of Indiana can expect to experience heavy storms with small hail and frequent lightning.

According to Forecaster Mike Ryan, it is quite uncommon to experience hailstorms in February. He finds it particularly surprising considering the recent snowfall and prolonged cold weather.

Indiana experienced another wild swing in weather on Wednesday, as temperatures soared to nearly record-breaking levels at 68 degrees. The possibility of hail is most likely to occur between noon and three o’clock in the afternoon.

According to Ryan, the current temperatures are significantly higher than the usual range for this time of year. He mentions that there has been a drastic shift from just four days ago, and this fluctuating pattern is expected to persist throughout the following week.

According to the National Weather Service, we can anticipate another episode of light snow.
