NYPD: Two Year Old Boy Shot In Broad Daylight NYC shooting

On Saturday, a 2-year-old child was injured in the Bronx when gunshots suddenly erupted. The incident caused panic among pedestrians, who were left scrambling for safety. This unfortunate event has further emphasized the urgent need for change in the community, with many individuals vowing to vote for a better future.

Around 1:45 pm, the child was hit in the right buttock at the intersection of East Fordham Road and the Grand Concourse. Authorities reported that the child was then transported to Jacobi Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.

“I was busy frying some food when I suddenly heard gunshots, about six of them, and instinctively dropped to the ground,” recalled Julio, a nearby vendor who witnessed the incident. “I could see people panicking and running in all directions.” Jacqueline Cuevas, who happened to be walking along Pennsylvania Avenue at that moment, also noticed the commotion. She described seeing “three individuals sprinting away and then the sound of gunfire echoing through the air.”

“I noticed a child sitting on the floor. It’s clear that this city is in dire need of improvement, and unfortunately, our mayor seems to be neglecting our needs,” she expressed to The Post.

“The streets are filled with too many criminals,” expressed Juan Carlos Garcia, 67, as he voiced his discontent. “I have never witnessed such a massive surge in crime until Mayor Adams assumed office. Violence is rampant, constantly unfolding right before our eyes.”

Living in the Bronx for 33 years, Garcia expresses his distress over the influx of migrants entering the city. Although he did not witness the shooting, his concern stems from the growing number of migrants in the area.

“It’s a complete mess. We need a fresh mayor and a new president who are committed to bringing about change. That’s why I’ll be casting my vote for Trump,” he expressed.

Shima Green was walking toward Fordham when she heard two gunshots.

“You know everybody kind of froze because it could have been a motorcycle,” she said. “And then it was like a few more [shots] and then everyone just took off running and I ran for cover in the CitiBank. … It’s absolutely terrifying.

“It’s like one of the first warm days and I kind of don’t want to have to consider that whenever it gets warm in New York we get these, like, crazy incidents of people just being reckless with guns,” she said, adding, “I just got back from vacation. …I didn’t expect to go from tranquil vacation mode to running for my life.”

Another Bronx resident lamented the violence, saying, “We need to change a lot; change the way we’re living.”

“I think we need to change mayors and presidents and everything because the way we are now, we’re senselessly killing each other. The working people are left to suffer and face the consequences of their lack of action. We pay for them to stay safe, nothing happens to them — we’re the ones that end up dead on the streets. They’re not doing anything for us. I think it’s time we have to vote Republican and vote Trump,” said the woman, who gave her name as Yesika.

Mayor Adams took a quick glance at the crime scene and engaged in conversations with the investigators.

Authorities are currently in the process of investigating the events that led to the shooting, which occurred late Saturday.

Authorities are currently searching for a male suspect in his 30s who was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket with fur trim on the collar, light blue jeans, and potentially red sneakers.

According to authorities, the suspect was seen fleeing in the direction of Crescent Avenue.

In front of 151 East Fordham Rd., law enforcement authorities discovered several shell casings.

According to a police officer at the scene, the shooting took place in front of a Capital One bank. Gunfire shattered the glass across the street at a TD Bank.

According to a spokesperson from the NYPD, it is still unknown whether there was a crossfire or if multiple individuals were involved in the incident.
