Officials: 3 Killed And 1 Injured In National Guard Helicopter Crash Near Us-mexico Border

According to a statement released by Joint Task Force North, a helicopter crash near the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday evening resulted in the tragic loss of three lives, while one individual sustained injuries.

According to a defense official, the helicopter was a National Guard Lakota UH-72.

According to JTF-N, the helicopter assigned to the federal Southwest border assistance mission crashed on Friday around 2:50 p.m. MST while conducting aviation operations near Rio Grande City, Texas. The cause of the accident is being investigated.

The Texas Department of Public Safety was also aiding with the inquiry.
