Police: Woman Loses Both Feet After Boyfriend Pushes Her Onto Subway Tracks During Argument

A woman lost both of her feet when her boyfriend allegedly pushed her onto the subway lines, where she was hit by a train in Manhattan, police sources said.

The southbound 3 train was approaching the Fulton Street Station at Chambers Street on Saturday at 10:25 a.m. when it collided with the 29-year-old, whose identity was not revealed, separating her foot, police said.

“They were arguing, and he pushed her,” stated a police official.

The suspect, Christian Valdez, escaped the station but was apprehended about 9:35 p.m. near the corner of Jay and Willoughby streets in Brooklyn, where he went to meet a parole officer but was instead met by the NYPD, according to sources.

When police interviewed him, he allegedly confessed to pushing his girlfriend in front of a moving train following an argument.

Valdez, 35, was charged with attempted murder and criminal assault and was jailed without bail after being arraigned on Sunday night.

The MTA turned off electricity to the third rail, and the woman was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

Her right leg was amputated below the knee and her left above the knee, according to the criminal complaint’s doctor. According to the affidavit, she also sustained many rib fractures and a blood clot in her lungs.

It was unclear what the two were disagreeing about.

One witness claimed he served in the Iraq War and used his training, which included emergency medical care, to try to assist.

“So I went down just to see if there was anything I could do,” said the man, who identified himself as William. “And when I went down, I saw her between two cars.”

He tried to talk to her to keep her calm.

“She said something to the effect that she didn’t deserve this,” the 48-year-old said. “She held a part of her flesh to show me that she might have lost her leg.”

He stayed with her for around five minutes until the police arrived.

“I hope she is okay,” he said. “She’s quite strong. She informed me she was heading to the spa.”

According to police, a man jumped onto the Midtown railroad tracks less than an hour later, and a train hit him and killed him.

The fatality occurred around 11:30 a.m. at Seventh Avenue and West 53rd Street, according to police.

There was no information available regarding the Seventh Avenue incident, which is believed to be unrelated to the Fulton Street shove.
