Prominent figures including Clintons, Tim Cook, and Jeff Bezos to attend White House state dinner honoring Japan’s Kishida

Former President Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, actor Robert De Niro, and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi are set to grace the White House with their presence on Wednesday. They are among the distinguished VIP guests attending the state dinner held in honor of Japan.

Apple CEO Tim Cook and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, along with his fiancé, media personality Lauren Sanchez, are also anticipated to attend the event.

The White House has just released the guest list for the formal occasion, which includes several prominent figures who were among the roughly 200 attendees.

Jill Biden revealed on Tuesday that attendees of the state dinner for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will be greeted by a White House venue that has been beautifully transformed into a lively and vibrant spring garden.

The first lady expressed her excitement for the gala, emphasizing its purpose to celebrate the strong and growing friendship between the United States and Japan.

“You Can Call Me Al” singer Paul Simon will grace the black-tie event, marking the fifth state dinner of the Biden administration.

The guests attending the event will have the pleasure of enjoying a delectable menu. They will be served with mouthwatering dry-aged ribeye steak and house-cured salmon. The menu will also feature a flavorful combination of blistered shishito pepper butter, fricassee of fava beans, morels and cipollini, all accompanied by a delightful sesame oil sabayon. As for dessert, the guests can look forward to indulging in a salted caramel pistachio cake with matcha ganache, as well as a refreshing cherry ice cream with a raspberry drizzle.

During Kishida’s official state visit, administration officials had referred to it as a significant milestone in the partnership between the two countries.
