Rashee Rice, facing eight charges, has an arrest warrant issued

An arrest warrant has been issued for Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice due to his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas last month, as reported by WFAA. Last week, Rice’s attorney admitted that Rice was the driver of the Lamborghini SUV, which was allegedly racing a Corvette leased under Rice’s name.

According to the arrest warrant obtained by WFAA, Rice, 23, is charged with six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault.

All the charges are considered felonies.

Theodore Knox, the driver of the Corvette, is facing the same charges as Rice. Interestingly, there is a Teddy Knox who is listed as a cornerback on SMU’s football team, which happens to be the same college where Rice played.

According to WFAA, the Dallas Police Department grants suspects a 24-hour window to surrender themselves before dispatching officers to execute the arrest warrant.

On March 30, the luxury cars associated with Rice were speeding on North Central Expressway when they both lost control. The crash involved four other cars.

According to the police report, all six individuals in the Lamborghini and Corvette abandoned the scene, neglecting to exchange information or insurance with the multiple victims left behind.

Both cars contained marijuana, along with credit cards, a $16,500 check, a diamond chain, and the playbook for the Chiefs.

The hospital received two crash victims who needed immediate medical attention.

Four days after the wreck, Rice took to his Instagram to share a statement, expressing his full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

“I fully accept responsibility for my actions in this matter and will continue to collaborate with the relevant authorities,” he expressed. “I offer my genuine apologies to all those who have been affected.”

He could face disciplinary action from the NFL for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.
