Report: Koch Network Halts Funding For Nikki Haley’s Campaign

Aiexpress – Nikki Haley received another blow Sunday when the influential conservative group Americans for Prosperity Action allegedly announced that it would no longer fund her long-shot candidacy, less than a day after suffering a humiliating defeat in her home state’s primary. The super PAC, which is financed by the billionaire Koch brothers, said it would instead focus its attention—and money—on more competitive contests in the House and Senate, according to POLITICO, citing an email sent to staff by the group’s CEO, Emily Seidel. Seidel stated that they will continue to support Haley’s defeat of Donald Trump but will no longer spend money on campaign commercials and events for her. “She has made it clear that she will continue to fight, and we wholeheartedly support her in that endeavor,” Seidel wrote, according to POLITICO. “But given the challenges in the primary states ahead, we don’t believe any outside group can make a material difference to widen her path to victory.” Haley, who has been brutally defeated in each of Trump’s four primaries, made no immediate comment on the PAC’s decision to reduce its financial support.
