Among the new additions were the founder of Raising Cane’s, a popular fried-chicken destination, the renowned celebrity shoe designer Christian Louboutin, and three founders of the controversial clothing retailer Shein. Both Swift and Johnson had already achieved billionaire status earlier, with Swift joining the ranks in October after the tremendous success of her Eras tour. According to Forbes, she earned a staggering $190 million after taxes from the tour’s first leg alone. Johnson, an NBA legend, made his debut on the list in the same month, thanks in large part to his stake in the life insurance company Equitrust. The world’s wealthiest individuals experienced significant growth in their net worth over the past year, with a collective increase of $2 trillion, bringing their total net worth to an all-time high of $14.2 trillion, according to Forbes. Notably, fourteen individuals on the list are worth more than $100 billion.
