Texan Man Changes Name To ‘literally Anybody Else’ And Launches Presidential Campaign

A Texas man expresses his belief that someone else should be president instead of the current frontrunners from the Democratic and GOP parties.

He’s decided to take matters into his own hands and pursue an unlikely political campaign to make a statement. How? By legally changing his name to “Literally Anybody Else.”

According to Else’s campaign website, America should not find itself in a situation where it has to choose between what he calls the ‘King of Debt’ (referring to former President Donald Trump) and an 81-year-old (referring to President Joe Biden). Else believes that the alternative should not just be any random person but rather a rallying call for change.

During an interview with WFAA, 35-year-old Else emphasized that his campaign had a different objective than simply securing his place in the White House.

As a seventh-grade math teacher and US Army veteran, my goal was to provide voters with an opportunity to voice their discontent with the candidacies of both Trump and Biden.

“People are not voting for someone they actually believe in or support, but rather for the lesser of two evils,” said Else, formerly known as Dustin Ebey, in an interview with WFAA.

He added, “I believe that individuals should have the choice to vote for someone who genuinely reflects and represents them, rather than settling for the lesser of two undesirable options. I strongly oppose this notion.”

According to a report by WFAA, the name change of the man was confirmed after checking Tarrant County court records.

Anyone else would be better suited for the task.

However, it is unlikely that Else’s name will be listed on the ballots in Texas for the upcoming November election. In order to qualify, he must gather a petition with a minimum of 113,151 signatures from registered voters in Texas who did not participate in the GOP and Democratic presidential primaries held earlier this month.

In addition to the challenges faced by Else, the task becomes even more complex when considering the different signature requirements in various US states. For example, New Jersey requires 800 signatures, while California imposes a much higher threshold of 219,403 signatures.

Else expressed his hope that voters would choose to write in his name instead.

In an interview with WFAA, he stated, “Please write that name down. The ballot does not have a ‘neither’ option, and this choice serves that purpose.”

It’s not just Else who isn’t too thrilled about the upcoming rematch between Biden and Trump. A January poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos showed that both candidates are unpopular among voters.

According to the poll, a majority of respondents, 70%, expressed their belief that Biden should not seek reelection. Similarly, 56% of the participants shared the opinion that Trump did not deserve another term.

“I understand the challenges ahead, but I firmly believe it can be accomplished,” Else expressed to WFAA. “My goal is to see Donald Trump and Joe Biden followed by Literally Anybody Else.”

“I am desperate for there to be a platform where people like me, who are tired of this ongoing struggle for power between two political parties that offers no advantages to ordinary individuals,” he expressed.
