Torso And Arm Believed To Be Those Of Missing Woman Wash Up On Beach

Authorities announced Thursday that more human remains, including a torso thought to be those of a missing woman, have washed up on a beach along Lake Michigan.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office discovered the torso and arm of 19-year-old Sade Robinson on a secluded stretch of tree-lined beach in South Milwaukee, approximately a quarter of a mile from an apartment complex, on Thursday morning.

Someone found the remains while walking on the beach, according to a news release from the office.

The case charges Maxwell Anderson, 33, of Milwaukee with first-degree intentional killing, mutilation of a corpse, and arson. One of his attorneys, Anthony Cotton, received a phone message seeking comment Thursday afternoon.

Anderson was arrested on April 4, two days after a passerby discovered a leg believed to be Robinson’s down a bluff at Warnimont Park on Lake Michigan in Cudahy. Robinson had cut the leg just below the hip.

A friend reported Robinson missing on April 2. According to the complaint, an employee of the building where Robinson lived informed officers that Robinson was eager about a date she had booked for April 1.

A surveillance film from a restaurant captured Robinson and Anderson sitting together at the bar on the evening of April 1. We discovered her burning automobile the following morning.

According to CBS station WDJT, camera footage shows Robinson’s car leaving Anderson’s residence the night he allegedly killed her.

A $5 million bond is holding Anderson in jail. A preliminary exam is scheduled for Monday.

Anderson’s father, Steven Anderson, issued a statement Thursday expressing his condolences to Robinson’s family, according to CBS station WDJT.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I’d like to send our profound sympathies to Sade Robinson’s family and loved ones.” We are shocked and devastated by her senseless death,” Steven Anderson stated. “To Sade’s mother and father, words cannot express our sadness for the unbearable agony and suffering you are experiencing. We join the entire community in commemorating Sade’s life.

The statement was issued before the recent discovery of remains was made public.

A law enforcement source told WDJT that detectives believe Maxwell Anderson has no other victims.
